KARI Volunteers at Running Festival

On Sunday 18 September over 33,000 people ran and walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the finish lines at the Sydney Opera House and the Conservatorium of Music.

The day consisted of five running events:

  1. Marathon
  2. Half Marathon
  3. Bridge Run
  4. Family Fun run
  5. Wheelchair Marathon

KARI deployed a team of volunteers who generously gave up their time to assist on the day, arriving on site bright and early at 5:00am. Two teams of volunteers were deployed to zones across the course, cheering on runners and keeping the course clear of obstacles.

Many runners showed volunteers their appreciation, cheering and calling out thanks to them as they ran by.

As charity partners of the Festival, runners were able to select KARI as their charity of choice to fundraise for. We would like to say a huge thank you to all runners who selected KARI as their charity, along with all those who generously donated to these runners’ fundraising campaigns.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers who came and supported KARI on the day. Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated.
