KARI Limited’s Annual Debutante Ball is returning for its 8th year. This program allows for young Indigenous women to make their debut into their local community, whilst simultaneously strengthening the relationship between the local Police and the Aboriginal community in South West Sydney.
These young women begin their journey 2 months prior to the big day, and are paired with an Officer from the Liverpool Police Area Command. Over the next two months our Debutante’s will form a bond with their partnered Officers through dance lessons and attempt to alter the current perceptions they may have surrounding the Police Force.
KARI Limited have been facilitating the Debutante Ball for 8 incredible years and the success of the ball wouldn’t be possible without the strong partnership between KARI and the NSW Police Force.
With dance rehearsals commencing this month, we are well on our way to another successful ball. The event will be held on Saturday the 6th of July, in the lead up to NAIDOC week.
