Terms and Conditions

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by for the Melton CDS Depot and North Coburg CDS Depot, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you must not use our services.

  1. Services

KARI Foundation in partnership with Clean Vibes provides container collection, recycling, and refund services in accordance with the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic). Services may include depot drop-offs, commercial collections, event recycling services, and scheduled container collection services.

Eligible containers processed through our services may attract a refund in accordance with CDS Vic requirements and eligibility criteria.

2.1 Collection Services

KARI Foundation/Clean Vibes offers scheduled container collection services for residential, commercial, and event customers.

Collection services must be booked through the provide QR Code.

  1. Eligibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

By using our services, you confirm that all containers presented are compliant with CDS Vic eligibility requirements and that you are authorised to request collection services where applicable.

  1. Registration and Account

To access certain services, customers may be required to create an account and provide accurate and current information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activity conducted under your account.

  1. Use of Services

You agree to use our services in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and CDS Vic requirements.

You must not misuse our services, provide contaminated or hazardous material, or interfere with the operation of our collection and processing services.

5.1 Collection Requirements

For all collection services, customers agree to:

      • Only present eligible containers for collection
      • Ensure containers are empty and free from excessive contamination
      • Ensure collection areas are safe and accessible for drivers and staff
      • Ensure collections are ready by the scheduled collection time
      • Present full bins for collection

Melton Depot reserves the right to reject or refuse collection where contamination, safety risks, or accessibility issues are identified.

  1. Fees and Payments

All initial setup fees are invoiced prior to the delivery of services. No bins will be delivered until the initial setup invoice has been paid in full.

All applicable service fees are deducted from the total eligible refund value unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All fees are in AUD and exclusive of GST.

Kari Foundation and Clean Vibes reserve the right to amend service fees, operational charges, and collection pricing at any time with reasonable notice to customers.

6.1 Collection Service Fees

Set-Up Fee $79 per bin

A one-off setup fee will apply depending on service type and infrastructure requirements. Full payment required before bin delivered.

Pick-Up Fee $8 per bin

A service fee applies to each scheduled collection.

Failed Collection Fee $10

A fee may apply where collection cannot be completed due to factors within the customer’s control, including inaccessible bins, locked gates, unsafe conditions, or non-compliant materials.

Contamination

A contamination fee may apply where presented material contains excessive non-eligible items, liquids, general waste, hazardous material, or other contamination.

Where contamination exceeds acceptable thresholds:

      • No refund may be issued for affected material
      • Material may be reclassified as general waste
      • Additional sorting, disposal, transport, or labour charges may apply
      • Melton Depot reserves the right to suspend or cease services for repeated contamination issues
  1. Container Refunds and Payment

Eligible containers will be processed in accordance with CDS Vic requirements.

Refunds for eligible containers will be calculated after processing and verification.

Any applicable service fees, contamination charges, or operational charges will be deducted prior to payment.

Payment timeframes may vary depending on account type and processing volumes.

  1. Privacy

KARI Foundation and Clean Vibes are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

  1. Limitation of Liability

KARI Foundation and Clean Vibes are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for services provided within the previous twelve months.

  1. Changes to Terms

KARI Foundation and Clean Vibes reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Updated Terms and Conditions become effective immediately upon publication.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms and Conditions.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
