KARI Limited’s Aboriginal Family Support Program is a voluntary program that strengthens the ability of parents to respond to their children’s needs and to create a safe and nurturing home.

Formerly known as the Brighter Futures Program, KARI’s Aboriginal Family Support Program is a holistic model of service delivery. Each family is provided with a dedicated Family Support Worker who will work with the families to deliver services tailored to their assessed and agreed upon needs. Services provided could include:

Strengthening family bonds

Increasing family safety

Reducing family conflict

Increasing parenting skills

Providing safer household living conditions

Developing appropriate and sustainable household routines

Supporting parents to meet their children’s developmental milestone

Addressing the over representation of Aboriginal children and young people across the child protection system is a particular priority of KARI’s Aboriginal Family Support Program.
