The Annual South West Sydney Aboriginal Student Achievement Awards took place on 28 October 2016 at Western Sydney University, Campbelltown Campus. These awards celebrated the hard work of Aboriginal students across the South West Sydney region in the following areas:
- Culture
- Courage and Commitment
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Sporting Achievements
- Attendance
- Leadership
- Citizenship & Community Service
- Creative & Performing Arts and Community Acknowledgement
KARI has been a long-standing sponsor of the awards and continued our support with the KARI All Rounder Initiative Award, which recognised a student’s outstanding commitment to school through consistent attendance, an eagerness to learn, school community participation and staying engaged in the school environment.
One student from Kindergarten to Year 12 from various schools each received an award along with additional prizes.
