Our partners and supporters joined us for drinks and canapés on Wednesday 7 December. It was a great way to say thank you for their support throughout the year.
Every supporter, big and small, has helped us make 2016 one of our best years yet. Their support is helping us change the lives of many Indigenous Australians, and for that, we were privileged to honour them at our annual Partner Thank You Event.
Located at the stunning Soho room at Doltone House, the evening consisted of an awards ceremony, followed by refreshments and networking.
Guests also enjoyed a special acoustic performance of Don’t Dream it’s Over from a student in KARI’s VIP.
Congratulations and thank you again to our award winners:
- Commitment to Change Award – Noel Prakash, Commonwealth Bank
For a leader in organisational and staff Indigenous initiatives and commitment to making a difference. - The KARI Pro Bono Appreciation Award – Hardeep Girn, Know My Life
For helping KARI to reach their full potential through probono work and support. - Commitment to Indigenous Programs – HSBC
For support and belief in Indigenous education and early intervention initiatives. - KARI Champion Award – Alicia Maynard, ISPT
For an outstanding KARI supporter, who has gone above and beyond for KARI. - Partner of the Year – Minter Ellison
For an organisation who has committed to support KARI through and ongoing partnership, collaboration and outstanding probono support.
“It’s so exciting to see this event grow every year and we are so honoured to have had the opportunity to work with so many great new partners in 2016,” said Mia Matheson, Marketing and Partnerships Manager, KARI. “With the continued support of our partners the options are endless and we look forward to strengthening our partnerships into 2017 and beyond.”
