KARI Clinic celebrated this year’s Transition to School graduates in Liverpool on Wednesday 7 October, recognising the children’s commitment and the skills they have developed as they prepare to start Kindergarten in 2027.
Known as “KARI School”, the Transition to School program is a therapy program designed by KARI Clinic for preschool aged children approaching their first year of school. Weekly group sessions bring children together for fun activities in a classroom-like environment, giving them opportunities to practise skills they will use at school.
The program supports language, early literacy, fine motor skills and self-care, alongside attention, social skills and emotional regulation. Learning together also gives children opportunities to connect with their peers as they become familiar with taking part in a group.
Across the program, the Clinic team observed children becoming more confident in asking and answering questions, making connections with peers and showing increased attention and concentration. Children also made progress in recognising and writing their names.
The graduation was an opportunity to celebrate that progress and acknowledge the children’s commitment to attending KARI School. From joining a conversation to writing their name, these developing skills are an important part of preparing for the routines and experiences of kindergarten.
Congratulations to our 2026 graduates, and thank you to the KARI Clinic team for supporting their learning and development. We wish the children all the best as they take their next step into school.
KARI Clinic delivers the Transition to School program each year. To protect the children’s privacy, we’ve pictured our KARI team celebrating this milestone.
