This month we hosted our annual Charity Golf Day and I must extend a huge thank you to our partners and supporters who attended on the day. Despite the threat of torrential rain preceding play, attendance on the day was unwavering, a true testament to the recognition from our supporters of the importance of such events.
In other news, I am immensely proud to have sponsored the NRL Indigenous All Stars teams. Before both teams had taken the field, they had already won with their off field initiatives across the week demonstrating their commitment to showcasing culture and strengthening community ties. Congratulations to the Indigenous women’s team for their win, they proved that hard work and determination truly pays off. A special mention to two remarkable women, Tallisha Harden who led the team to a hard fought victory and to former captain Rebecca Young who capped off her representative career.
Our City 2 Surf campaign kicks off this month with KARI Ambassador Beau Champion busy recruiting our corporate partners to join Team KARI Foundation. Like Beau, I hope to see as many of you join the cause and assist us in fundraising for our future sport and healthy lifestyle programming.
In KARI Ltd we have commenced the re-accreditation process. Accreditation is the process of evaluating the performance of statutory out-of-home care providers and certifying that standards have been met to the level required and is carried out by the Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG). I look forward to bringing you an update on our progress in the coming months.
Regards,
Casey Ralph
