This month we continue to support education and celebrate success amongst our staff, our programs and our community.
KARI has a long-standing investment in the upskilling and training of our staff. We strive to achieve best practice when working in the space of child protection and community welfare and are committed to ensuring we are at the forefront of cultural competency. I am proud to announce that KARI Cultural Unit Coordinator Troy Dargan currently has a collection of his carving works displayed at the South Australian Museum. This is a huge honour for Troy and demonstrates the quality of leadership that exists within our Cultural Unit.
Our Leaving Care Program has also gone from strength to strength in 2019 and is recognised across the sector as one of the state’s best practice models.
Whilst it has been a busy first quarter with many new programs being piloted, we are excited to announce that many more programs are in the pipeline. I look forward to reporting back and sharing their many successes with you over the coming months.
Regards,
Casey Ralph
