On Sunday the 11th of August, Team KARI Foundation participated in our first ever City2Surf. As it was our first time entering a team into the world’s largest fun run, we were unaware of how much support we would receive in the lead up to the big day. In our inaugural year we were excited to see over 40 participants for Team KARI in order to help us continue changing lives.
Thanks to everyday hero, those who were unable to participate in this year’s City2Surf, were still able to raise much needed funds for KARI. We’re excited to announce we were able to raise over $22,000! Thanks to our large team of fundraisers and supporters, we are able to put this money towards the design and delivery of additional sport and healthy lifestyle programs for Indigenous youth.
This was the first of many years KARI will be participating in the City2Surf, and with each year we hope our team of participants and fundraisers grow, so we can continue to provide more sport and healthy lifestyle programs.
Over 80,000 people participated in this year’s event. We hope that next year you will join us in changing lives and keeping culture.
Keep an eye out on KARI’s social media pages to find out when registrations are open for the 2020 City2Surf! See you there!
