Together with partners Business Sydney and the ICC Sydney, the KARI Foundation delivered the inaugural First Nations Forum at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney). This event was a momentous occasion to promote current collaboration & partnerships and foster greater inclusion, opportunities and recognition for Australia’s First Nations people.
KARI Foundation CEO Casey Ralph was joined by the Deputy Chair Metro Aboriginal Land Council, Cr. Yvonne Weldon, and CEO of Reconciliation Australia Karen Mundine, a panel of remarkable Aboriginal women who are leaders in their industries.
It was also pleasing to hear perspectives from Chairman of the Australian Indigenous Chamber of Commerce, Nyunggai Warren Mundine AO and Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, the Arts and Regional youth, Ben Franklin and their experience as leaders.
We look forward to working with Business Sydney to continue hosting events like these, as they are important and present an opportunity for Corporate Australia to hear from Indigenous leaders on how to support Indigenous leadership in their respective fields.
