On 24 June, volunteers from ING joined us at the KARI Foundation’s Liverpool office for a meaningful day of corporate volunteering, packing special NAIDOC Week Vacation Care art activity packs for families across Australia.
Inspired by the theme “50 Years of Deadly,” the free packs combined creativity, culture and education. Each pack included engaging art activities, an age-appropriate booklet exploring the history and significance of NAIDOC Week, stories about deadly First Nations Australians and a time capsule activity.
By generously contributing their time and working together, the ING volunteers helped KARI Foundation reach families across the country. Their support made it possible for more children to learn about Aboriginal culture, celebrate First Nations histories and achievements, and take part in meaningful conversations at home.
Corporate volunteering initiatives like this demonstrate the powerful impact businesses can have when they work alongside community organisations. The day not only helped deliver an important cultural resource to families but also gave ING employees a hands-on opportunity to connect with KARI Foundation’s work and contribute to a shared purpose.
A heartfelt thank you to the ING volunteers for helping us share culture, creativity and learning with families all around Australia.
