KARI launched its first monthly Community Hub at our Liverpool headquarters on Tuesday 3 November 2026, bringing together services and support for Aboriginal people and families across South West Sydney.
Building on KARI’s weekly drop-in sessions, the new monthly format brings a range of practical supports together in one place. Community members attending the launch connected with services offering assistance with Centrelink, housing, the NDIS, community and family support, Justice of the Peace services and Donate Your Data SIMs.
The Community Hub aims to make services more accessible while providing a welcoming space for community members to come together. People can have a yarn, ask questions and connect with support relevant to them and their families.
Bringing these services into a shared community setting is central to the Hub’s purpose. Alongside practical assistance, it creates an opportunity for community members and service providers to connect through a regular gathering at KARI.
The launch marks the beginning of this new monthly format. As the Hub develops, KARI looks forward to welcoming more community members and service providers and building on the connections made at the first event.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to the service providers who contributed their time and support. Your involvement helped make the first monthly Hub a success.
KARI’s final Community Hub for 2026 will be held in December, before the program returns in February 2027.
