KARI staff and Singers were invited to share the events with the staff from Sydney Airport Corporation to celebrate Harmony Day. Harmony Day is a day to celebrate Australian multiculturalism, which is based on the successful integration of migrants into our community.
Sydney Airport is one of Australia’s most successful multicultural environments. This is shown through different parts of the Airport.
The passengers that arrive and visit Australia from around the world are a part of this multicultural environment. It was amazing to see how the airport was able to represent all cultures as well as celebrate such a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians. This is regardless of cultural or linguistic background as we are united by a set of core Australian values.
An integrated multicultural Australia is a vital part of our national identity. KARI is grateful to be invited to participate representing Australia’s first people.
