KARI has sponsored this event for many years and continues to support the ongoing partnership between Macquarie Fields Police Local Area Command, Campbelltown Police Local Area Commands (LAC’s) and the local Aboriginal community. In its 8th year, the ball took place on Saturday 20 August 2016 at Ingleburn RSL.
Both LAC’s provided partners for their female participants in an effort to not only introduce these young ladies to their community but to continue to pave the way and take positive steps in closing the gap between Aboriginal people and the NSW Police force. These Deb Balls allow female youth to build strong relationships with their fellow police partners, allowing them to feel as though they have stronger connection to their community.
