Our partners at Commonwealth Bank recently travelled with a group of 13 delegates to Darwin for the 2016 Garma Festival. This festival is held so corporate’s can network and join in celebrations. The Commbank team were sporting brand new KARI t-shirts for the duration of the festival.
“KARI is one of our Indigenous customers, and we have been banking with them since 2015. Together with KARI, we have produced these t-shirts to symbolise our support and commitment to the Indigenous community.” Noel Prakash, National Manager Indigenous Banking, Commbank.
An annual event, The Garma Festival is a gathering that brings together business leaders, international political leaders, intellectuals, academics and journalists to discuss the most pressing issues facing Australia. While it may seem like a big weekend of discussion forums, stalls and sponsors, the event is first and foremost a celebration of culture.
