The Transition to School program is one of our most successful programs when it comes to ensuring that children are going into primary school with all the tools they need to be successful.
The 2018 graduation class was the biggest class KARI has ever had, with over 18 students graduating. The graduation ceremony was held in our Liverpool office in the Playgroup room.
The children all lined up in caps and gowns to receive their awards from CEO Casey Ralph. They also were getting cheered on by their classmates and families who attended the ceremony. As you can see, not everyone was happy to be graduating.
Upon graduating, each child received a certificate and a small KARI Backpack.
CEO Casey Ralph attended, and said:
I’ve seen some of these kids from when they were babies. To be given the opportunity to watch them grow up and see them attend big school has been an inspiring journey.
After the graduation ceremony, the families and children were treated to a delicious morning tea spread. This was held in celebration of the ceremony as well as providing the opportunity to show off their graduation certificates.
The success of this program is heavily reliant on our KARI Clinic team. Without their ongoing support as well as dedication, KARI would be unable to help youth transition successfully into primary school.
