The KARI Community Programs team ran a Performance and Visual Arts Workshop in the 2018 Term 3 School Holidays.
This program was aimed at Aboriginal youth aged 13 or older.
The Performance and Visual Arts Workshop workshop allowed youth to learn a variety of new skills.
These skills included as:
- Constructing an installation
- Learning more about costume design
- Sharpening up their acting skills
The program was only made possible through a partnership with Cement Fondu. This term’s theme was a horror themed art exhibition, which was designed to coincide with Halloween.
The youth who attended got the chance to work with award winning U.S artist and educator Jaimie Warren.
Jaimie has run a variety of programs in the San Francisco and New York Museums of Modern Art.
We hope all who attended had a fantastic time.
