In continued partnership with HSBC the KARI Foundation have been able to financially support Aboriginal high school students across 3 service regions including Metro Sydney, South West Sydney and Western Sydney.
150 Students in years 11 and 12 have received scholarships that will support their financial needs and ensure they are equipped for the year ahead.
In addition to the funding, students will have access to a number of workshops through the HSBC/KARI LEAD Program, facilitated by the Community Programs team as well as KARI Ambassador Beau Champion. These workshops focus on leadership and goal setting for life after high school.
In addition to the HSBC/KARI LEAD Scholarships, in partnership with OPTUS we are providing 30 mentoring scholarships for Aboriginal students in year 10. These scholarships will provide students with access to workshops facilitated by OPTUS staff, most of which will prepare them for their senior years of schooling, as well as providing them knowledge on life after high school, focusing on employment and their online digital thumbprint.
