If you’re looking for a way to showcase Indigenous culture at your next event, KARI’s Alumni Singers are an undeniable way to do so. Our Alumni Singers have come together after graduating from KARI’s Vocal Identification Program (VIP). The Alumni are a group of confident and talented performers, who have worked together for a number of years in the VIP program.
Recently they have performed at a number of prestigious events with many of KARI’s Corporate Partners. The International Convention Centre recently held an event to celebrate their partnership with First State Super, where our Alumni Singers were among a wonderful array of performers who provided sound entertainment for the night.
The KARI Alumni also performed at KARI’s 20th Anniversary Gala, a night that celebrated the past 20 years of KARI’s achievements. With a wide variety of songs in their repertoire, including Yothu Yindi’s hit “Djapana” and “World Turning”, the Alumni Singers can ensure your event acknowledges the traditional owners of the land with culturally appropriate songs.
In the lead up to NAIDOC week celebrations, the KARI Alumni performed on SBS, during the broadcast of the Matilda’s opening match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Watch here.
