KARI Foundation’s Lead with Culture Team have partnered with Seven Mile Coffee Roasters, to assist in the upskilling of Aboriginal youth with barista training courses. The training course was held at the Seven Miles Western Sydney Training Centre in Parramatta.
Seven Mile will be holding regular training courses for some of KARI Foundations Lead with Culture participants. These courses will provide Indigenous youth with the knowledge and experience, in order to gain employment within the café or restaurant/hospitality industry.
Because of Seven Mile’s excellent reputation within the café/restaurant industry, KARI Foundation have been able to establish relationships with cafes and restaurants, with the goal to begin trialling some of the Lead with Culture participants, with the outcome being employment for our youth.
Working together with organisations such as Seven Mile, provides an abundance of opportunities in training and employment to our Lead with Culture youth. Thank you to Seven Mile Coffee Roasters for providing these courses in an attempt to change the lives and futures of our youth.
