February has been a month of excitement across both KARI entities. We celebrated a convergence of culture through sport, during the NRL Indigenous All Stars v NZ Maori All Stars match.
This event marked the significant inclusion of KARI Foundation, as the first Aboriginal agency to secure the major sponsor placeholder, on both the Women’s and the Men’s playing jerseys. This inclusion makes a strong statement about the current profile of Aboriginal people within the sport of Rugby League but also as a community, with the event reaching a national audience.
This month has also seen us kick start our programs across KARI Limited and KARI Foundation with our Community Programs team busily working across a number of Sport and Healthy Lifestyle, Education and Early Childhood Health initiatives.
Finally, the introduction of our Family Preservation Program will see our team continue to work with our communities to provide an additional layer of early intervention support to further ensure our families stay together.
We look forward to a busy and productive month ahead!
Regards,
Casey Ralph
