KARI Foundation and the National Rugby League have partnered to deliver more elite pathway opportunities for Indigenous Women. The Indigenous All Stars Women’s Pathway Program provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women the opportunity to represent their culture through the sport of Rugby League.
KARI Foundation strongly supports the Indigenous All Stars Women’s campaign as it aligns with our commitment to promoting and driving awareness of culture to the wider community. As an extension of our long-standing partnership with the NRL, KARI Foundation will officially sponsor the Women’s Pathways Program – which includes the selection of the Indigenous Women’s All-Star’s team, which will play at Cbus Stadium on February 22nd 2020.
In the lead up to the All Stars matches in 2020, thirty-six of the nation’s leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander female rugby league players were selected for a development and selection camp. The Women’s Pathways Camp will provide young Indigenous females who aspire to become professional rugby league players, an avenue to better their skills. Simultaneously, they will be learning more about their culture as well as educating those around them.
